DATA AND CURIOSITIES ABOUT DAS MEI

Brazilian companies have obligations that need to be fulfilled in order to remain compliant with regulatory bodies.

This also applies to the MEI (individual microentrepreneur), which is why we emphasize that one of these obligations is the payment of DAS (Documento de Arrecadação do Simples Nacional), which needs to be paid by the 20th day of each month.

• R$ 1.00, corresponding to the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS), if you engage in trade and industry activities;
• R$ 5.00, corresponding to the Tax on Services (ISS), if you are a service provider.

The Individual Microentrepreneur can simultaneously conduct trade and service activities. In this case, the total amount will be included in a single form.

ISSUANCE OF DAS MEI

The Programa Gerador de Documento de Arrecadação do Simples Nacional do Microempreendedor Individual (PGMEI) is the official program for issuing DAS MEI. However, applications like ours facilitate the issuance and management of DAS MEI payments.

• Trade and Industry - R$ 56.00 (INSS + ICMS);
• Services - R$ 60.00 (INSS + ISS);

Even if you are not actively engaged in your activity or actively using your MEI CNPJ, the DAS MEI tax must be paid. If you close your MEI CNPJ without paying the invoice for one or several months, the debt will remain active and be transferred to the owner's CPF.
